spam - mal.
[The last place that Polly expects to find Mal is crumpled up on the floor in the stairwell. She also doesn't expect to find her looking as terrible and beat up as she does. Polly curses under her breath for not having a stake. (Mal looks out of it enough that it could be dangerous.) Still, she isn't about to simply walk away from her corporal. For starters, she wouldn't leave one of her lads behind. She sure as hell isn't about to leave Mal behind. For another, some idiot would come around and probably make the situation worse.]
[Polly decides to risk it. Very carefully.]
[Polly approaches the downed vampire quietly and at a slow approach so as not to startle her.]
Mal?
[...Well, whatever the hell that response is supposed to be, Polly doesn't know. So, she crouches down beside Mal, throwing an arm over her shoulders and hauling Mal up to her feet. To be on the safe side, she leans Mal's head away from her neck, thank you very much and drags Mal off to Mal's cain to recouperate.]
video.
[After a chat with Mal, Polly takes the network. She's just a tiny bit angry, but it'd be hard to tell if not for the stern tone of voice.]
I assume there's a decent explanation as to why I found my corporal with the piss beaten out of her.

[There's a possibility he's behind the assault, but she thinks he'd take the time to gloat. Or finish the job. Or, more likely, pretend to find her and nurse her back to health as a way of trying to manipulate Mal.]
Do you know his whereabouts?
[ Voice ]
Nonetheless:] He is reading in a fourth level common room at present.

Would you like me to detain him at any point, or merely make you aware of his movements?

[But she sure is curious as to who the hell managed to do that to Mal.]

Do you know what happened yet?

If you happen to find anything, I'd appreciate it, lad.

[Anyway.]
[She doesn't support her weight at all - she can't - and just half-stumbles, half-is dragged along with Polly to her cabin. It takes at least half an hour for her to get to the point where she can even slightly form words.]
Wh'z 't?
[. . . Okay, 'form words' might be pushing it.]

Corporal? Do you know where you are?
spamaramadingdongllamadama
[This is not a very helpful answer. However, it's probably the most honest thing she's ever said. Polly is here, so she is home. What else need be said?]

Do you remember what happened?
okay that's enough of that, who started this
[Mal squints, clears her throat.]
What happened. No.
. . . Am I in the hallway?

[Meaning does she need to be in the infirmary versus wherever she's been spirited off to. Or is she in the infirmary already, since lol Jack has been quasi avoiding the place in Dillon's absence.]

[Don't worry your pretty little head about it, Jack.]
