Where is she?

I imagine she's in her cabin or Aeryn Sun's cabin.

It's a little odd you ask questions you already know the answer to, lad.

[She makes a semi-disgusted sound, though she's not entirely sure if it's because they're both women or because she's judgmental as fuck of others doing what she does (like making attachments here).]

I will assume that means it's a mystery to you as well.

but eventually she'll come knock at Polly's door.]

[Polly answers her door and holds out the aforementioned stake.]

[No ceremony. No needless commentary.]

[Just take it and ask questions if you have any.]

[Why would she need to talk.

She will linger a hot second, turning the stake over in her hands as a pretense for peeking into Polly's room. What's in there.]

Just right in the heart. [Obviously.]

[Polly doesn't leave the door very wide. She does notice the peeking though. Inside it's exactly as you would find inside a tent. Because it is a tent. Polly's home isn't in a tavern or an inn.

[She nods.]

You have to be exact.

[Wow.

Then again, Arya lives in a one room cell. She can't really talk here.]

I know where the heart is.

Alright then. Show me on yourself where a vampire's heart is.

[She reaches up to her chest, but stops with her hand hovering over her own heart. Her nose wrinkles.]

Is it different on a vampire?

[Polly corrects her hand by moving it more to the left. Not much, but enough that it certainly does matter.]

[She presses her hand down against the spot, getting a feel for it. It would be easier, to see it on someone else, and she looks down at her shirt for some identifying run or pull or stain so she can identify it later in a mirror.]

[Polly crouches down to Arya's height.]

Show me.

[Her eyes dart up to Polly's face, and she stares for a moment, looking for - anything. A lie. She doesn't know. It only takes a moment, and she turns the stake in her hand, to press it against Polly's chest lightly - first where a real heart would be, and then to the side, drawing a line to where a vampire's heart ought to be.]
